Photos of trekking in the Aconcagua mountain range, Mendoza, Argentina! PART 1... Love it!!

The first views of the amazing mountains in the region of Mendoza from the 3hour bus journey into the wildnerness!! Bring it on

Arriving at the national park it was very, very windy that day and a bit overcast. Still an awesome sight though.

This is my camp for the next two nights. Basically an igloo in the middle of a set of mountains. Man...that was COLD!

Lol. Dinner for the first evening. The lush meal I prepared. Haha. Jamie Oliver would be proud.

The next morning after my trek up the mountain to base camp, this was the view I had. Perfect weather for trekking baby! Total wildnerness as well.

Mules were often seen on the trail heading down to the river and across up to the second base camp to assist the proper mountain climbers.

Me in front of Mount Aconcagua. What a perfect day.

The sky was clear blue and these were the views all around me on that day of trekking.

It was crazy. It was like being on another planet! The rocks were mental! All different colours, shapes, sizes, jagged edges, smooth like marbel...you name it.

My first real view of what I thought was 50feet high rock...nope...it was all glacier! And it stretched for miles and miles!

Aconcagua sitting at nearly 7000metres! Im coming back some day to climb that sucker!

Typical terrain I had to negotiate

The stunning view on the way to Plaza Francia. Hard to tell the scale but of course these mountains (and the glacier in front of them) were all friggin huge!!!

An amazing view back down the valley with a small glacial lake in the forefront.
