Amanda and Lewis brought the rain!!!
Happy New Year and Auld Lang Syne to you. We spent our new year on the beach, dancing with thousands of others, watching fireworks, partying hard with buckets of alcohol and every music in the world to dance too. An absolutely amazing party, full of face paints and dance fever. After getting over the hangover we spend 2 lovely days, sitting by the pool and relaxing until the rain came and came and came. Aftyer hours of consideration we decided to head back on the ‘quicker’ boat to Bangkok and check in to our local Marcopolos hostel for our time in Bangkok. We booked a day trip to the river Kwai to see the place Terry Grandad spent a lot of time as a prisioner of war and see some asian elephants take their place as a human carriage. Then our lovely friends are saying goodbye and leaving the shores of Thailand for England and we head north to Chang Mai. Its been amazing to have them here and experience a little of what we are doing.
