We arrived! Dear all, we arrived safely in Toronto after a horrible flight! We left Gatwick early only to discover there were no tv's on an 8 hour flight...we were sooo bored the whole time and the food was just yukness! Toronto was hot when we arrived and we managed to navigate our way to the bus to get into town. We then found ourselves on this 'free' train and on to these really cool street cars, they are kind of like buses but are run on electric like in san francisco i think...
We turned up in College street where we were meeting Mike, the guy we met on the internet who was going to let us stay with him for three weeks. We were pretty nervous right now and had to trek miles to get to his place, we both aren't in Canada mode yet, the streets are huge! Mike's place turned out to be a little gem. Its an apartment above shops, but just beautiful inside...wooden floors throughout and a huge double bedroom for us. It also has a roof terrace and a view of the CN Tower! Mike is a professor of film so his whole place is full of DVD's and CD's and Books...we talked for hours, then we took Mike out for a Mexcian, or rather he took us out and we paid lol. We had a great night until i realised it was like 3am for us and i nearly fell asleep at the bar!
Just got up now and today we are just going to check out the local neighbourhood and get some food in or groceries should i now say.

Haha stitched on the flight then, thats why it was cheap then! lol. At least u got there safe and sound, and found your new landlord safely (is he as nice as me?)
Apartment sounds great, way different from your huts in thailand etc!!
